Where to play in Colorado

There are three separate UWH clubs in Colorado as of 2009. One is based in Lakewood, one in Fort Collins, and the newest one is in Boulder. Practice details for the clubs are listed below:

Lakewood

WHERE?
Lakewood practices are held at the Carmody Recreation Center at 2200 S (Old) Kipling St. in Lakewood, CO. Carmody Map

WHEN?
Sunday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:30 and Wednesday evenings from 8:00 to 9:30. New players are encouraged to show up 15 minutes early. Cancellations

WHO?
Practices are open to men and women of all ages. Beginners are always welcome. Practices usually consist of scrimmage and instructional sessions, so there's something for everyone.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
If you are new to the sport, you're welcome to come a few times and try it for free. After that, you may either pay on a per-practice or per-quarter basis. For detailed payment information for Lakewood practices, please speak with Chris Debrunner, the Lakewood club Treasurer (you can catch him at practice most of the time).

WHAT DO I BRING?
If you have snorkeling gear (mask, fins and snorkel) that you'd like to use, feel free to bring it, but we also have equipment for you to borrow, so all you really need is a swimsuit.

Boulder

As of the beginning of Fall Semester, 2009, there will not be any practices in Boulder for a while. We are looking into moving over to the competition pool at some point during Fall 2009 or Spring 2010. Stay Tuned!

Fort Collins

WHERE?
Fort Collins practices are held at the Edora Pool and Ice Center (EPIC) located at 1801 Riverside Ave., Fort Collins. Click on the link below for a map:
EPIC Map

WHEN?
Most Tuesdays, from 8:00pm to 9:30pm
Some Mondays, from 8:00pm to 9:30pm (to confirm for any given Practice, send us an Email.)

WHO?
Practices are open to men and women of all ages. Beginners are always welcome. We're always happy to do drills and give instructions for anybody wishing to learn or improve their play, and there's a scrimmage at every practice, so you'll be able to jump in and try the game your first night if you wish.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Adults are $6/session. Pay at the front desk (let them know you're there for underwater hockey). If you decide you would like to attend practices regularly, discounted 25-punch passes are available for $100, bringing the per-practice cost down to $4. Credit cards are accepted.

WHAT DO I BRING?
If you have snorkeling gear (mask, fins and snorkel) that you'd like to use, feel free to bring it, but we also have equipment for you to borrow, so all you really need is a swimsuit.
